| 3 Separate visits they demonstrated their honesty and expertise. I took our Suburban in to have the brakes checked. After they took the vehicle for a drive and looked at it thoroughly they determined that the brakes were fine. No big bill for brakes! On a separate visit, brought an older car in for an oil change and a general once over. I was told there was a a radiator hose that was splitting, probably from age, and that the other hose was probably just as old and would need changing out as well. I was given an estimate and told them to go ahead with the repairs. I was exceptionally pleased when they called to tell me the repairs had been done and the 2nd hose had been replaced at an earlier date and did not need to be replaced! The actual cost was about half what had originally been estimated. On a different occasion, I'd brought our Suburban to the Chevy dealership because I was hearing a scraping type brake noise that would come and go. They said they took it for a drive, no noise was happening while they drove it and told me nothing was wrong with the brakes. When the noise persisted I took it in to Island Tire and by looking through the rim at the brake drum could see scrapes on it. They took the wheel off to find a loose screw rubbing on the drum and barely holding the caliper on. And this was done about 10 min before closing time because I told them I was concerned about it and that I was leaving on a 1000 mile road trip the next morning. They went above and beyond. |

| Island Tire is awesome! They are thorough and professional. Whenever we've had a tire issue, they have been quick to assess and solve our issue. This time a nearly flat tire and we were able to leave the car overnight with them as it would have been flat in the morning. They assessed all the tires on the vehicle to determine the wear, and it turned out, we needed new tires. We plan to keep the car for awhile so now we have peace of mind that the tires are all perfect. They also include a 4 year warranty and will fix flats at no charge. Would highly recommend! |
