| I've never had better service. I have an older car (2005 Mustang), and had damaged a very large plastic shield that is under the front bumper and extends back about 18 inches. When I took the car to a Ford dealer, they told me they would need to order a new part, but they had no idea if they would be able to get one or not....since the car was so old. I turned to Island Tire really in a bit of a desperation move, and the reaction there was quite different! The owner looked at the car immediately, and told me he felt they could fix it....no new part needed. The car was on a lift within 15 minutes, and completely repaired within 30 minutes. When he showed me the truly exceptional repair, I was just thrilled. I asked how the bottom of the car looked, and he said it was just great for an older car. But when he asked when I last changed the oil, I admitted I had pretty much forgotten about it since the car, while housed here, isn't used much. It had been more than a year since I changed it, so I said I'd come back when they had time to change it....and he said, "we can do it now if you'd like". And so that was done. Finally, he gave me a book about how to care for cars that sit unused for long times, and in it, there was a "battery charge retainer" which replaces a trickle charge system for batteries. I asked if that could be put on, and they did that while I waited too! So, a win-win situation, all driven by superior customer service. I intend to use Island Tire for all my automotive needs in the future! |
